Gap Year Africa

It is not possible to sum up an Africa gap year on paper. On a gap year Africa you will see why. The pure scale of the African continent and the variety of its landscapes, peoples and wildlife leave an ingrained impression on any traveller. An Africa gap year can deliver a huge variety of experiences dependent up on the season and country visited. Many people choose to travel Africa on their gap year by an Africa overland truck tour. This is great way to cram in a lot of the continent over a shorter period of time and more importantly on a tighter budget. A Gap year in Africa, need not be expensive, but it definitely needs planning.  Gap year travel in Africa offers a travel experience million miles away from the well-backpacked, air-conditioned tourist trails of Southeast Asia or the well developed back backer industries of Australia or Europe.

Another favourite of a gap year in Africa is Namibia. An incredible arid country bordering South Africa and Botswana, home to himba tribes and bushmen. Then there is East Africa home to the Maasai. Taking your gap year in East Africa opens up many other possibilities of adventure travel. In Tanzania you can climb mount Kilimanjaro Africa’s highest mountain (we can take you up 3 different routes), see amazing game parks and the cradle of human kind (yes this is where we all came from apparently) or chill out on a gorgeous tropical Island – Zanzibar.
